My recipe for the MGI (improved or not) is the stock inductor (or replace with 14 gauge air core of same value (.66mh). For the tweeter, a 22uf Obbligato film in oil cap, a 1 ohm attenuatng resistor with a 1uf poly cap accross it to shelve up the the octave. If you don't want to attenuate the tweeter, then create 18uf worth of poly caps rather than 22uf. This won't fit under the grill cloth, but you can let the grill cloth stretch over it or cut a slit, add a board etc. etc. etc. Also, bypass the fuse and attenuator/jumper on the panel if you are comfortable (after testing changes).
