Hello, I have an issue with my Pioneer SX980 receiver. When the volume pot is turned completely down noise still bleeds through at a low level. I know that the volume pot has to be reached by going through the receiver and so on. I dont want to disassemble it so I just removed the volume knob on the front by loosening the allen screws just to see if I could reach the inside. I could see that this was not the way in to clean the pot so I tried to simply reverse my steps and reassemble. i have an issue, the knob isn't fitting far enough down the shaft to retighten the allen screws!! There is like a 1/4" gap between the knob and the face. I have removed the allen screws and looked down the inside of the knobs insides and have no idea why this isn't reattaching. Any ideas? |
