Last one I went to was when the convention was at the Bridgeville volunteer fire hall.
Way back in the early Aughts, when the convention was at the Greentree Radisson, I scored a stereo first press KOB for thirty bucks.

Was beginning to wonder about you ...
Central's turning into Outside/Water Cooler so why bother?
Planning to sell the LPs this year, so not much to add here either.

That milk was allowed to sour nearly five years ago. "Inmate Central, where civil and family-friendly discourse about off-audio topics (other than religion and politics) is welcome." "other than politics", my ass.
Central's moderation reminds me of a San Francisco CVS, where the cops say, "Shoplifting is a crime, but don't worry, we're not going to enforce that, so you thugs have at it.
Especially when grown adults act like toddlers.
You know dang well, some of those guys are constantly tattling on each other.
My dad was the building inspector for the small town we grew up in. Ninety percent of the job was trying to mediate between feuding neighbors.
I'm sure Rod the Mod, samey-same. Wouldn't take long for something like that to get old, if it were me.

And I also don't really care (anymore) that Cenral went from a place where guys like Brian Walsh used to post Friday Funnies once a week, to a place where divisive shit slingers now regularly go at it.
The Asylum is Rod's playground, and he can do what he likes with it. My only issue is, either change the damn header, or enforce what's there.
Mean spirited pettiness.

I feel you, musetap. It's a sign of the times. Good to see that you're still around.
Hope all is good and well and that the collection* continues to grow and delight!!
Miss your posts, POV and Philly vibe!
*just how crowded have the hallways become?

As goes the country, so goes Central, I suppose. I'm fairly sure I differ with both you and ghost, politically, but you both seem good natured, intelligent, and have good senses of humor. It's your love of music and knowledge of audio that I'm interested in, not all that other crap.

You're selling you LP's? BlasphemyAnd yes, Central has become a clone of Water Cooler. I only lurk there occasionally now.

Just tryin' to be forward-looking for a change. Ain't getting any younger, figure I'll deal with all this crap so my kids don't have to.

A collection of 2500 records fairly valued at $40 each isn't an inheritance it's a job. And some $100,000 audio system isn't going to get a fraction of what someone paid for unless someone is hired to sell if for the wife or kids and it'll end up covering about a months rent or a mortgage payment in the end.As far as records go I've completely enjoyed building and maintaining my collection and for the most part they've been worth the money I've spent on them. Ie. I've already broke even on the deal. I'd rather get them into the hands of music lovers and record collectors who will enjoy them as much as I do as opposed to flippers or people who have lots of money to pay big bucks over what I originally paid for them. I would rather donate them to my favorite local dealers than sell them to wealthy people or flippers who'll do exactly what I don't want to do. Bottom line when/if I sell them it'll be about what I paid for them or less.

I'd be thrilled. I paid very little for most of the collection and the most collectible and valuable LPs, I either paid nothing for them or bought them when the prices were at their lowest 20 years ago. It gives me a bargaining edge because I know how much the record store will sell those LPs for.
I'm hanging on to the amp, preamp, headphones, and one set of speakers. Got the Mac Mini connected to the system and it sounds pretty dang good.
