Don't do squat for my optical disks.

My guess is you're using it incorrectly.

A friend who is a tax preparer gave me their company's old floppy disks to securely erase and destroy.
I removed the film elements from all of the disks, sandwiched the stacks between neodymium hard drive magnets and then cross shredded the lot before incinerating.
Should be good enough for goobermint work.

possibly be better than others?
And why.
I'm not opposed to the concept of using one, just haven't yet.
And here it is, the 21st Century!
Meantime my Mapleshade ionoclast ion generator is losing it's spark.
Horse of a different color, but any suggestions for a replacement?

I had the Mapleshade Ionoclast anti static device, I also obtained Lloyd Walker's Talisman, (demagnetizer) from Clark Johnsen, amazing device, genius. Even more amazing after finally reading the instructions for the Talisman late last year. That's when a big light bulb went off in my head. The rest is history.

A rare device but it cleans up the sound and improves depth of field in both cds and sacds. I'm using a Marantz Ruby Sacd Player. Have you tried the Bedini?
One big difference - mine can be used on everything. Mine is completely passive, no batteries, no AC more like Walker Talisman on steroids.

Besides, my policy is not to sell to inmates, it's a conflict of interest. I realize ethics is your short suit.

you loosely call yourself that with your tweaky stuff, Tweaky. Could be there's nothing to report on this you poor guy. How's the weather today?
You're quick on the draw to insult people
Everybody take note of this
Your continued stalking and juvenile personal attacks are duly noted.

Funny how audiophiles automatically assume it must have something to do with trace magnetic particles in the metal layer or in the label graphics. Lol

I would like to hear your explanation of that.

Very astute of you. There is nothing magnetizable in a CD and even if there are some trace iron particles in either the aluminum metal layer or the graphics paint it would not produce a magnetic field stronger than the local Earth's magnetic field. 24k gold CDs obviously have zero trace elements that are magnetizable. So it must be something else.

What do you think?
Can we "trust" our ears (if our eyes are open)?
Only a fool would think he could.
But your whole shtick is based on it.
You probably won't understand what I mean when I say, you are listening to your system with your "eyes open".
Over the years I have tried to help you but I now think you are a hopeless case.
Of well.
