Not to open myself up to unending flame throwing, but I am curious if anyone has tried the new Quantum Science Audio (QSA) USB Adapters TweekGeek is selling:
https://www.tweekgeek.com/product/qsa-usb-adapters-original-series/
I am not looking to hear why these couldn't do anything from people who've not actually tried them, but rather impression from those who have...
Thanks in advance,
Chris
they seem very expensive to me just to try. I have tried a similar product.
iFi iDefender usb adapter. I tried a demo 1 from audio advisor. I think it runs 125 or more I got mine for 25.00. I have let others try it. We all heard differences with and without cant say what but different. I use it in between my flash drives and usb port with music on them. I like it so I use it.
Just to be clear the ifi product uses an electrical circuit to reduce noise, the QSAs is just a plain connector with nothing physically different than a standard connector. The magic is in the treatment QSA does to the connector. I've heard they expose them to large doses of simulated cosmic radiation, and/or conventional radiation for increasing periods of time, the more time the higher the price. This changes the conductivity of the metals, and dialectric/plastic. But this is just speculation, nothing public is known what they are doing. The cost of equipment and power consumption generating these types of fields can be quite large, as a way of explaining the cost. Many many people swear the positive changes using them are real, and that is good enough for me. Though I doubt I'd pay money for them myself.

I agree, some of the prices are literally ludicrous for what you seem to get. This is why I was curious if anyone had actually tried any of these. I would obviously be looking at the lowest cost ones, as I find it hard to justify the prices of the upper-end ones.
Best,
Chris
