and it isn't digital except for display, analog LO and varactor tuning. It is pretty for sure but a modern Accuphase will eat it with ease. I have a T-1000 and have owned a T-100 and still also have a T-101. The Accuphase tuners from the latest group: T-1000, T-1100, and T-1200 are far and away the finest tuners ever designed and built. Nothing touches them including the fabled Sequerras, Kenwoods and Sansuis. I send 24/48k out to my computer from the T-1000 and do room correction and transcode it to DSD256 with HQPlayer into my DAC. There is no classic tuner that can touch that sound quality. And trust me when I say that it is one of my best sources with my local jazz station. Skip the Goldmund unless you are a collector of Swiss things for the sake of it.

Got the T-1000. Hooked it up to esoteric ( Abbas) tube dac to have "variety". It is a very good tuner. No doubt about it. However, I wish I kept ( I was given a choice ) T-109v which is slightly behind with that a bit homogenized Jap sound but looks 5 times better than T-1000 . A real Candy . Also Tandberg 3001A which I will have to sacrifice to keep
T-1000 is a stunner.

... but it would be interesting to A/B one (sonically) with a Scott 310E.
A 310E owned by a hifi fellow traveler here in New England being the best sounding tuner I've heard with my own personal ears.
Photo is of the 'random internet' kind. :)
all the best,
