De-emphasis circuit
That was the term I was trying to remember-
The Accuphase is a better unit IMHO - but I would go for the T100
FM Tuner Info (link below) does not list Gouldmund - but there is a section on Accuphase-
Gouldmund was/is a good MFG of components - but always at a high price, and a bit of a tricky set-up/maint. reputation....
My Favorite tuner is the McIntosh MR-74, but I have used MD, Fisher (old Mono units) Lafayette, Pilot and Heathkit to quite acceptable results-
Good luck

I already have Accuphase T-101 and like it quite a bit. Part of the reason for this quest is that I'd like to hear fairly modern SOTA digital tuner before its all over for FM. Without the uncertainty if it is properly aligned or in specs or not, which is always the case with vintage tuners.
I remain unconvinced that digital tuning is worth the effort
Between the issues with the broadcasters - not keeping true to the specs, and the atmospheric issue -
Give me analogue, or give me Vinyl.
Happy Listening
Im with you on this. One guy from local audio club said " I had several digital amps in my system. There was nothing obviously wrong with the sound itself it's just it didn't engage me . I just have to experience it myself.
