Still haven't heard back after a few emails over to Cary....
Bias for the 300B says 60mA DC in the manual. With the stock 211 tube:
WE300B - 56.7mA
Stock Genelex 300B - 61.5mA
Didn't change anything besides swapping out the WE300B.
Both measured with an external meter with the 1/4" jack in the back of the amp. So am not far off with both 300B.
The amps can use either 211 or 845 with a switch. Any advice what would happen if wired incorrectly with the 211 running on 845 settings?
Just wondering, thanks.

"211 running on 845 settings"
A 211 running at 845 bias would pass very little current.
A 845 at 211 bias would be red platting.

"Still Working the Problem"
Thanks Tre'. At least that is not the problem.
Still no reply from Cary, and so am a bit frustrated.I'm not certain the amps are still under warranty, but to have to crate them up and ship them back to Cary will be a big deal as they are very heavy and bulky.
I will call them to see if there is an authorized service place closer to me.
For others possibly reading this thread, please advise if you know of a skilled tech in the greater NY metro - I'll probably need to start a new thread to ask.... Thank you in advance!
