I wonder if there are two versions of the FiiO FT1 headphones? The link below shows a pair of open back, magnetic planar headphones selling for $200 on Amazon. Are your FT1 headphones open back planar headphones or closed back dynamic headphones.

I own the FiiO FT5 Open Back, Magnetic Planar headphones that cost $450 on Amazon. They sound very good to me, but those new FT1 PRO headphones look very impressive, too. I might buy a pair.

The FT-1 and the FT-1 Pro. The FT-1 ($150) is a large diaphragm dynamic, which I own. The FT-1 Pro ($200) is a planar. i may also buy the planar even if the FT-1 is more than satisfactory by a long shot.

even though the headband is plenty comfortable, I bought the Capra Audio relief strap (~$20) mentioned by DMS in his review for Headphones.com to maximize the comfort. they make them for a wide variety of models and makes and are 3D printed.

The extreme low bass is present in the proper amount and flat to about 30Hz as illustrated by my current listening to the Telarc LP of Stravinsky's Rite Of Spring with Lorin Maazel and the Cleveland Orchestra. Yello is well represented as well.

I am curious to hear the FT-1 Pro, we shall see.

  I own the FiiO FT3 dynamic headphones and also the FiiO FT5 magnetic planar headphone. The FT5 headphones sound better. However, the new FT1-PRO headphones have a 1-micron planar diaphragm compared to a 6-micron planar diaphragm for the FT5 headphones. I'm kind of surprised at the diaphragm difference relative to the price difference. I would have expected the more expensive headphones to have the thinner diaphragm. Perhaps I'll have to buy the FT1-PRO headphones to find out how their sound quality compares to the FT5 headphones.
