Opinions are welcome.
I know I'll miss the LEDs: of the TT speed controller, preamp PS, comcast time etc; well, you know the drill
I've got two choices:
They often have beautiful Danish style credenzas with sliding doors. Very classy and well made, but brown not white.
The magical 17 1/4 inch wide sized audio component shelf is not as available as one might assume when looking into vintage furniture.
...-in perfect shape. Only problem it was $1500. Still, better than Chinese stuff. I am in Sacramento.

Based on personal experience these cabinets are nice but can also be inconvenient - depending on your A/V lifestyle. Routing cables behind each piece of gear and behind the cabinet can be a royal PITA so I wouldn't want to do it very often.
If you're the type who enjoys experimenting with different gear or rearranging various pieces now and then you'll absolutely HATE those cabinets as I do. If you're more of a set and forget type they can be nice.
If you mount the TV on a wall and have cables running down inside the wall and exiting near the floor you can use a small rack with equipment in it to hide the cable bundle. I additionally have a small Comcast CableTV box (not the older type with time display) hidden behind the AV rack. The rack is small and my setup is simplified to minimize clutter.
BTW, the Comcast remote is both IR and RF. RF controls the Comcast box so it doesn't have to be 'line of sight'. IR controls Input Select and Volume Up/Down on your TV. Good luck.
My typical setup with 75" TV on the wall + small Salamander S20 Rack w/o optional sides and door.

I say "typical setup" because I will sometimes have a different DAC or two in the Rack or swap the tube amp out for a turntable.
The Rack is on furniture sliders so it takes no effort at all to pull it away from the wall giving me easy access to the back. No
worries... they're audiophile approved furniture sliders. ;-)
P.S. Keep ventilation in mind.

Well said. I'm ditching the very old Standesign 5 metal rack which has five fixed shelves, all open but rather dated and rings badly.
I'll have the TT, Pre, Dac on top of the cabinet so all cabling is exposed but hanging off the back. All other ancillary gear on the shelves including that which has a remote.
Now that the development work is nearly complete, I have the desire to tidy up the room. lol courtesy NC
You've always shown us a very clean layout Abe.
Thank you Abe
