Rock and Roll heaven in Orlando is a must.
Jacksonville:
Gear: House of Stereo (link below) is an amazing place. Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the home page and watch the "Grand Tour" video. The store has been around forever and recently, under new owner Joe Parvey, has kicked things up a notch.
Records: From Atwood's link, I'm familiar with Yesterday & Today as well as Wolfson. They are both kind of small, and because I'm a classical guy, can't comment on their stock of other genres. They are located within about five minutes of each other, so it would be easy to visit both.
Hope you have a good trip.
House of Stereo is amazing, heard my first Maggies there in 1977. Bought my first Maggies there in 1994. Great shop.
House of Stereo and Hoyt are the two audio stores in Jacksonville. I don't have a turntable anymore and records are IMO too expensive so I can't recommend any of the stores listed in the link.
