I believe that they work everywhere. Telling in wich position it is better is hard. In theory, the closer to the unit the better. I have my speaker cable Bybeed and when I added a Bybeed PC to my NAD receiver wich acts as DAC/Preamp only, the benefits were immediate and maybe of equal extent than previous pairs. They are additive and addictive, as I like to say. Remember that large ones "only" can pass 15A. I was thinking on DIY an extension box, instead, for digital. You are wright in using in non speaker setting, not because they would not work, on the contrary, but I think when large new "slipstreams" become available that will be the way to go on speaker cable. My experience is that the "slipstreams" are better, unleast in HF lead. I also will use them at amp's RCA inputs.
Tell us how does it go.
