... good tips. I'm rebuilding a vintage speaker crossover within the box so I'm working through the woofer hole because the crossover board is glued for life to the box. The caps I removed are 50v and the ones I'm replacing them with are 250v so the new ones do not fit on the crossover board like the smaller ones did. The leads are longer as a result and I don't want them to get shorted in any way if they get pressed down by the padding. I suppose my best two options are to build a new board entirely or build a small box to protect the crossover. Any other advice for this type of situation? Thanks!
