Yes, Auricaps are very transparent and are probably best used on the input side of an amp where you want things as transparent as possible. But they're not for use everywhere (like in the power supply or on the amp's output circuitry). Some brands and cap types are voiced similarly, so pairing them up and using them in the correct location becomes an art form in itself.Remember, everything affects everything else. Having a more detailed and extended top end can SOMETIMES affect the midrange in an adverse way (just like balancing a speaker crossover). Definitaly give them a chance to break in sufficiently and take your time with your evaluations. You may need to go backwards a little to move forward again, so don't be afraid to back something out. And definitely use the resources here - people like Bob Crump are an asset too precious to ignore.
ANd yes, Sonicaps are awesome. Try replacing your speaker caps with them and be amazed.
