Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

I installed a variable L-pad and wired it per instructions and knew which wire from the crossovers were positive and negative. But I decided to try reversing polarity and sure enough, the suckout of loss of lower tweeter frequencies around the 3000 crossover point disappeared! I have no idea why that should be when I wired it correctly in terms of positive and negative but it did the trick...maybe it's something to do with water draining clockwise in north america...seriously, does reversing polarity sometimes fix something like this even when it is "correctly wired"?
