I've been where you are - - more than once! These things are more robust than you might think and you are quite likely to get this machine back to life. My suggestion is to carefully retrace your steps.1. Look for accidental solder bridges between connections, especially on all ICs. Use a good magnifier. I once had a teeny tiny piece of stray solder accross the pins of one of the IC's. My cd player was as dead as a doornail and worked perfectly after I discovered and removed this.
2. Make sure you replaced the components you thought you were replaceing; modern pc boards really pack the components in and you may have inadvertantly switched out a resistor next to the one you intended.
3. Did you reconnect all the connectors you disconnected to work on the machine? Did you reconnect them correctly?
I have a flat place on my forhead where I slap myself every time I find I have made simple errors such as this.
Hang in there
good luckDavid
