Hi,I really think it depends on the system. I have tried bi-wiring on many systems. Some it made a difference and some it didn't. I know that in my existing system now, I hear a very nice improvement. Maybe this is because my mid/bass drivers are 10 ohms and my ribbon is about 6 ohms. There is much written on the Cable asylum and you'll see a white paper or something like a white paper by Jon Risch. He goes into it pretty deeply.
>>> Unless the crossover is at the amplifier end of the cables (why is this never the case?), each cable always has to carry the full frequency range delivered from the amp.
This is done with either a:
1) digital crossover with more than one amp
2) An active crossover with more than one amp
3) A Passive crossover, that would go between your preamp and ampHave a great day,
Brad
