The AD797 will drive 1K to .5V and stay biased in class A. If this is just a phono preamp it will never need to put out more than .5V anyway, that's what the line amp is for.Most opamps have quasi-complementary output stages and thus can benefit from a pull down resistor.
The AD797 has a complementary output stage, I don't think it will benefit.
It also has very high bias as it comes anyway, hence my remarks above.
