Saludos:My rack is different mostly because:
1- It uses 6 legs , 3/4" rods were used.
2- It has 6 shelves made out cedar plywood (A/A and 12 laminates)
3- Shelves are 24"x16"x3/4"
4- on each edge, I used 3"x16"x3/4" cedar wood sandwished to the shelves.
5- the inside square was filled with 6 granite slabs that are 18"x16"3/4".
6- nuts and washers are 3/4"
7- shelves are situated,3 at each edge and all connected with the center rods.I'm using a 18" x 18" x 7/8" Rubber-Cork-Rubber Pad between the top shelves and the granite slab to place my TT. This eliminates most of the vibration that could be transmited to the shelves combination.
My rack weight aroun 250lbs but I need to put some cones at the legs ends. Right now it is resting over rubber feet.
And yes, my wife is very satisfied with the looks and it is a piece of conversation too.
Some day I will post a few pictures....(need a camera).
Jose.
