Hey Ehien,I don't know if this will work with your player but on some if you hook digital out on player to digital in on the player it will bypass the PMD100. Might be worth a try.
For what it is worth, some consider the PMD200 to be MUCH better than the DF1704. To these folks the DF1704 is too "hi-fi" sounding and in time seems too harsh and detailed. The PMD200 is a 100 pin and the PMD100 is a 44 pin device (both TQFP). No idea if anyone makes anything to convert from one to the other.
