House power is not a likely culprit here; something is probably loose mechanically in the receiver front end, and the jiggling causes it to send a noise spike that triggers the protection circuit. Could be a loose solder joint somewhere- try using a non-conductive probe to wiggle parts in search of the bad joint and resolder it. If that is out of your league it's repair shop time.
Also, see if it does this with no input connections- a bad connector or wire could have the same symptoms.
