My amps didn't appear to have any problems with dynamics last night (I ran them hard for several hours, rather hot to the touch at the end of the testing). It all seemed fine and the mids were not really over the top. But I'll try the CD and pre-amp only on the filter.The CD player will soon go on a small Isolation transformer (OneAC from ebay), which I suppose doesn't need to be plugged into the filter itself, but I'll try it both ways.
I'll wait for this experiment before deciding if I need another filter outlet.
What I will do next, though, is upgrade my wall outlets from the "industrial" Home Depot to something more serious, because my fat power cords are pulling themselves out of the wall
