There may well be no improvement in transfer of A/C (I don't really know because I haven't tested and perhaps you could list the receptacles you did test and heard no difference in sound quality with). I have, however, listened to a number of receptacles in my system, with my music, both of which I am very familiar with, and hear pretty substantial differences. I am not saying the Wattgate is great or worth the money because I haven't heard it, but your argument is akin to saying all 50 watt amplifiers, or all 20 guage wire sounds exactly the same because they measure so.
