There's been plenty of testing done on ultra high-end stuff such as Wattgate- I know, because I've done some of it, using double-blind listening as well as very detailed measurements. Those tests are rather conclusive in showing no improvement in the transfer of A/C with Wattgates and such as opposed to a decent hospital grade connector 1/10 the price. If you feel the expense was worth it, that's all well and good. I've had discussions with some very well respected names in the field and they agree on the presence of snake oil. But then, there's those who like the taste of snake oil too, I guess.
