Easy DIY

Here is how to do it. Simply draw the actual circuit board copper traces onto a piece of paper, indicating the connections for each component. Then, take two pieces of masonite, 1/4"plywood, etc. about 6"x6" (may have to be smaller depending on driver sizes) and neatly draw the circuit traces on one side, also drawing little rectangles the actual size of the new components you will be using. The circuit drawing should be about twice the size of the actual printed circuit boards. Drill 1/8" holes wherever the components will be soldered. Turn the board over and hot glue the components to the other side of the board with the leads sticking through. Using hookup wire, complete the circuit along the traces. Add some 18" leads to run to the binding posts. Do these in red and black to make sure you get them right. Wrap the crossover board in foam rubber and loosely secure with string. Remove the largest speaker driver and carefull pull it forward, place the crossover in the bottom of the speaker and run the leads to the binding posts. Put the driver back in and enjoy. After you are satisfied with your new crossovers, go back in and secure the boards to the cabinet walls. Easy way is to add some 1"x1"x1" feet to the circuit side of the board and glue the board to the cabinet walls. OK to remove foam or whatever at the glue points. Have fun, and Merry Christmas.
