That is why I am using Barrys "Hip Joint" design and a 2" x2" x 1/4" polished aluminum plate on top. They work much better than my double freeze plug idea. I like Barry's design because it is shallow and machined. I could never get near the level of precision grinding, sanding, and polishing my freeze plugs. High quality tungsten carbide balls push the performance envelope even further.
