Balanced resistance voltage divider

Need help determining the values and configuration of installing the above into the load end of a XLR balanced cable. The "Search" archives have plenty on single-ended apps ( mainly ART DI/O mods) Got the idea from Mr.Thorsten, confirmed by the ART DI/O faq page.

My situation is similar, but want to reduce the 7v level of a Behringer Ultra- Curve down to an appropriate level for my Aragon 8008BB amp, keeping the signal balanced.

Here's some specs:

Ultra- Curve has an output impedance of 60 Ohms (balanced, using servo-balanced output stage) and a max output level of +16 dBu

Aragon 8008BB amp has a input impedence of 44 kOhms (balanced), 120 mv for 1 watt output, Full output (200watts @ 8 ohms) at 1.68 v. Voltage gain is 28db.

Also, is there a way I can make up a temporary adjustable pot, to get more accurate resistor ratings?

Thanks for any help (and better yet a diagram or web page to hold my hand as I am DIY illiterate!)
