A resistor is sometimes used across tweeters to compensate for the resonant frequency of the tweeter, but this needs to be calculated with the crossover and would not be appropriate as an add on. The value will vary dependent on the type/make etc. of tweeter and crossover frequency. Do not confuse with L-pad which alters output level of tweeter.
