Oh, I forgot to mention - surprisingly, Herr Lehmann continues to use the OPA2604 for the output stage even in his pricey Silver Cube. It's definitely a very good op-amp, and pretty neutral. I think upgrading to the 'boutique' parts is more of a tuning-the-sound thing rather than improvement. He biases with a considerable amount of current; I think that if one put in a FET cascode stage to improve the bias current, it will further improve the sound a lot.-Chris
