Hi John, good sound advice. I did discover that Solomon offers a good selection of tips at $2.95 a tip. At that price, I would be able to buy a good selection, including spares. Whatever I buy will get very light use. The most being the building of a kit, most likely the Foreplay. I want to learn more about basic electronics and I have been told that a kit is a good place to start. Well I am a little past the absolute starting point, I know the difference between a cap and a resistor. I do want to learn how to test these while in use/installed. So far, for my upcoming venture into kit building, I have acquired a DMM, a 10amp variac, a tube tester, and various soldering aids [picks, heat sink, desoldering braid, etc]. Do you think it would be a good idea to gwt a lead forming tool/lead bender?
Thank you,
Jeff
