Using the speaker level I/Ps is fine.The cross over in the "plate" amp presents a "high" impedance to the driving unit below the turnover frequency. That high impedance prevents the driving unit from generating power below the turnover frequency, if you "daisy chain" from main amp to SW to "satellites". If you don't "daisy chain", the SW's presence has no significant electrical impact.
In any event, using the speaker level I/Ps has the sonic benefit of allowing the "plate" amp to pick up the "signature" of the main amp. That leads to decent blending.
