412 & 512 have the same problem: backlit led dies after a while.
It's not so bad: it's actually the lamp that illuminates the LED that is dead, the LED itself is still ok.
If yours is the same all you have to do is open it up, find the bulb and replace it. You can either contact NAD or do some educated guesswork with a meter and find a near replacement. I chose the second and now I have a brighter display. If it blows up don't blame me though - I took my chances.S
