And keep in mind that some varieties IEC sockets include a fuse that you do not want the loose due to saftey reasons.By the way, what problem are you trying to correct? Unless the EIC is defective you may be pursuing an expensive and possibly hazardous solution for a non-existant problem. Maybe a high-end line conditioner would be a better route?
