Okay, so I'm being a bit coy here. But beyond the stock and standard explainations, WHY? I've got this old Denon CDP (mid-80's) that was close to the bottom of their line at the time. Sounded for shite, only worse. Before tossing in the ash can (or eBay), I put Vibrapods below and a very heavy chunk of concrete above.Wow.
Everything should sound this good.
Does this mean all digital appliances get better (by a wide margin) when encased in lead, topped with concrete or reinforced with other fortress materials? Would a moat around the CD player help even more?
