Thanks for responding. The diodes are indeed IR HEXFREDs. What I'm trying to do is build some 'upgraded' boards for a Marchand Electronics active crossover. For the most part I've kept the values the same, but have substituted presumably higher quality parts (e.g. MultiCaps, Caddocks, Allen Bradleys, etc). Since the 'new' boards didn't work, I've gone back and installed the 'stock' diodes in place of the HEXFREDs, and that did not improve things.....so I think I've got more than diode problems.At any rate, I've written to Phil Marchand begging for guidance and with his help will hopefully be running the new set soon. Luckily I used new PCBs for this project, thus my original 'stock' boards weren't cannibalized and still work so at least I'm not without music!
