The problem with a female/female coupler is that my speaker leads would both have males on them. Unless I solder the coupler onto the plug of the auxiliary lead, it would be possible to plug the auxiliary speakers into the stackable plugs on the mains. Of course, I could replace the stackable banana plugs with plain ones, so nothing could plug in there, then use the couplers and plugs on the auxiliary speakers.What I think I'll do is use a stackable banana plug to terminate the auxiliary cable, and put heatshrink over the male prongs. I can always remove it if I ever find proper in-line female jacks and want the stackable plugs for something else.
