Re: using RG6 as interconnect for subwoofer....

Some folks do not believe that the subwoofer line level cable can possibly make any difference, that any old cable will do.
In my opinion, this is not the case, and I have found that the insulator is critical, more so than the conductors.

First, see: "The skinny on RG-6 coaxial cables":

THEN READ:

You could use one of the inexpensive foamed PE based coaxial cables called out in the first referenced URL, or go with some 89259 coax, or as an alternative, some 1695A or 1506A, which has the foamed teflon, but tinned copper and foil combo shield. Normally, this is not so great for full range use, but is not that much of an issue for subwoofer use.

All the coaxes I am taling about are low capacitance, but there still exists a very real chance that you will run afoul of excessive total load capacitance with a 60 foot run, see:
http://www.AudioAsylum.com/audio/tweaks/messages/1080.html

many sources or recievers do not have the drive capability to drive a very long cable cleanly. With subwoofer line level cables, at least there is no HF content to tax the output stage, but there still might be problems. Be sure to minimize the length of the run, do not casually run it any loner than it is really neccessary.
