I started to read your post, but then I saw the words Cerwin Vega...
What you need to do, is throw them in the dumpster, and get yourself a real pair of audiophile quality loudspeakers.
That is my final opinion.
Post over at the Speaker or General Forum, how much you can afford to spend etc. I'm sure that you will get several worthy replies.
