Not from the standpoint of the cone suspension system (the surround and voice coil spider). In the absence of any signal these tend to self center in the mid point of the speaker excursion. It is the extremes of the suspension that generally causes non-linearities (distortion) to occur in the audible outputIn addition to the excursion offset effect, DC offset also produces unnecessary heat generation in the voice coil. If your amp has say 2 volts of offset into your 8 ohm speaker you are sitting there dissipating an unnecessary 1/2W in the voice coil.
DC offset to speakers is to be avoided as a general rule...
