If it's beyond my ability to test, and muting and/or reduced volume while tuning solves teh problem, should I worry about the health of the tuner?I'm afraid I can't really answer that. It's possible that it could be the result of some failure in the tuner in which case you might want to have it looked into but beyond that I can't really say.
