You're right, 5534 is single variant of 5532.There is not generic and exact answer on question about external compensation when you swap a single op-amps. Everything depends on op-amps. Sometimes it could be removed. In some cases you shouldn't do anything. However, situation is not more complicated than it is with dual op-amps. Think about external compensation as it is an additional possibility (that have a single op-amps in comparison with duals). But, if you don't have a signal carryng cap and your compensation circuit is zero-offset voltage, when you replace op-amps, it should be again set to zero.
