but you do have to be careful, especially if it's a high gain/high feedback type amp, to make sure they are bypassed well on the board with something that doesn't degrade the sound since most installations require significant lengths of wire. My mounting straps were only as long as the capacitor radius (about 1.5 inches). I can't really speak to the exact Mallory CGS caps you are using since they come in many configurations, only that in general they are a good sounding power supply capacitor in my experience. They made another higher spec series called CG I believe that I was very fond of too, but the volumetric efficiency was much lower (and price was much higher too). They were almost completely filled with the soft tar substance and so were very well controlled mechanically.Dave
