I thought about it later and remembered how at the time it got back to Walt Jung who was a big proponent of HFQ type caps and led to a rather involved e-mail exchange and some rethinking and further tests on his part. But I won't try to characterize his conclusions, especially since our last communication was quite awhile ago.I did test a lot of those Nichicon Muse types at the time and they certainly were much better than the HFQ types, especially in the premium series. They were one of the best easily available types (although they were fairly new at the time and not as easily available as now) but still a long way from my favorites which are no longer being produced. The best solution is do as you have and engineer them out which is pretty easy to do in most products except for power amps.
