In Reply to: Where to find 6A 125V fuses? posted by BobM on March 18, 2002 at 05:00:51:
You need the fuse size/series number. Like GMA-a fast blow, GMC-medium time delay, GDA,GDB,GDCMDL,MDA,MDQ....etc. OR it might be a number like 312, 313, Or if nothing else you need the physical size...like 5 by 20 mm, 1/4" by 1 1/4". Provide me with that info and perhaps I can help you. The only fuses I see offhand that are rated 6.3 amps are the GDA/GDB/GDC series which are 5 by 20 mm but they are rated 250 Volts and not made in 6 amp. Now the GMA/GMC(also the same as type 235) are the same physical size, rated 125 volt and are made in six amp size so perhaps that is what you are looking for. I don't think it would be a problem to use a GDA 6.3 amp fuse in place of a GMA 6 amp fuse. The GDA series is a ceramic body and the GMA series is a glass body.Hope this helps,
Russ
