I generally place signal processing between preamp and amp. If you are going to use it as an EQ that sounds like the obvious place.If you have only one source and it has digital out, I understand the Behringer has an add-in module that lets you take the digital in directly. That might work better but I would think you would be unable to apply the processing to other sources like a turntable.
