And I was a big skeptic. I bought a $5, 12 inch innertube and put it under my Musial Fidelity A3CD. I got an immediate result. It sounds much better. The tube is supporting the underside of the case, so the original feet are dangling free just clear of the wooden bench. I hope the CD case will take the weight OK in this fashion?
I didn't use a special MDF shelf because I need low clearance. And the low profile seems to minimise wobbling. As per the other posts here, only a minimum of air was used. The profile of the innertube on its own is 2cm high. Any less air and the valve would interfere. I would have paid much more for an improvement of this magnitude!
