in the 'bang-for-buck' tweak list, this one scores very high.As regards heat dissapation, which many are concerned about, I would think that the sand bag is an effective heat sink, such that the sink properties outweigh the loss of air flow.
I have run my MSB Link III with a sandbag for many months now without any problems whatsoever.
