I know nothing of Lingo but it is the responsibility of the designer/builder to isolate any such a generator from mains interference. This is doable with sufficient effort, cost and technology. There are several ways to develop the required phase shift and it can be fixed at 90deg or varied. I believe that Manticore and Kuzma do something like this (as I have).
