Thanks for the insight on the subject. It seems strange speaking of the sonic benefits of stone, but it seems to work. I never thought about concrete, but I guess the listening Environment, i.e. the room has an effect on soundwaves and the way they travel and so might the density of the stone in question. I don't feel so strange now that I know other people are using stone not just for building...
