I don't have any Haflers, but I've built a bunch of amps over the years that use Hitachi power MOSFETs for output devices.Just for starters:
- Are you sure it's not oscillating?
- It sounds like you're saying the bias current adjustment range is different from your expectations. what range should it be? For the Hitachi parts, the zero tempco point is around 100mA per device. For six output devices total per channel (3 paralleled per supply rail), that's about 300mA out of each rail for the output devices
